3. Patterns & Breed Standards – 35 Hrs $600.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Introduction of styles, patterns and current fashion in the canine world. Breed standards are focused on to show the functional history of the breed styles and patterns. Those crazy Poodle patterns were developed by hunters to aid their dog and the jobs that they were bred for!
4. Introduction Scissoring – 35 Hrs $600.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Proper scissor handling is an on going skill that is constantly being honed by the best and brightest award winning Groomers. Here you will begin to get a feel for the scissors, ergonomic techniques and using them as an extension of your hand.
5. Non-Sporting Group – 35 Hrs $500.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am – 4pm
In this course we focus on the Non-Sporting Group; their coat types, breed standards according to the CKC, patterns, and particular health issues. Recognizing breed type is essential while working in the purebred canine world.
6. Sporting Group – 35 Hrs $500.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
In this course we focus on the Sporting Group; their coat types, breed standards according to the CKC, patterns, and particular health issues. Recognizing breed type is essential while working in the purebred canine world.
7. Terrier Group – 35 Hrs $450.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
In this course we focus on the Terrier Group; their coat types, breed standards according to the CKC, patterns, and particular health issues. Hand stripping versus clipping, pros and cons on both.
8. Business, First-Aid & Safety - 35 Hrs $450.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
How to start and maintain a thriving business. Work smarter, not harder – ways to increase revenue, without undercutting. Instructors who specialize in both Human and Canine First Aid and restraint safety while dealing with fractious animals.
9. Certification Preparation - 35 Hrs $400.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Focusing on preparing students for the IPG’s Sporting, Non-Sporting and Terrier tests, both written and practical.
10. Pattern Modifications – 35 Hrs $400.00+ Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Poodles have over 150 recognized patterns this class will show you how to modify current styles & patterns for different client’s needs.
11. Advanced Scissoring – 35 Hrs $400.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Continue to improve and refine the flawless scissoring finish, for those high end clients and pushing yourself to the next level through grooming competitions.
12. Certification Prep-Advanced – 35 Hrs $400.00 + Taxes Tues-Sat 9am-4pm
Covering all CKC Groups and preparing for the Masters Exam; Working, Herding, Hound, Sporting, Non-Sporting, Terrier, Toy and Miscellaneous. The CPG Canadian Certified Master Stylist test is intense and all encompassing, this prep work along with previous courses will lay a solid foundation for this prodigious title.
